AQUATIK (AQ-CL-01)

Sequence Controller/Monitoring System For Water Purification Plants

"AQUATIK" is a compact sequence controller with monitoring and data logging facility designed specifically for use in commercial Water Purification Plants based on Reverse Osmosis and similar technologies. It is a "state of the art" product with data logging and user-friendly Graphical User Interface (GUI) for configuration, remote operator interface and mimic diagram depicting status of the process

Inputs:


In addition to the above, eight discrete digital inputs have been provided for sensing levels of "Raw Water Tank" and "Permeate Tank", for control of filters like "multi-grade", " Iron Removal", "Active Carbon" and for high pressure and low pressure switch. Protection against dry running of pumps and three-phase voltage imbalance has been built in.


Outputs:


The outputs help operate solenoid valves for following functions

  • Between Raw Water Tank (RWT) and Raw Water Pump (RWP).
  • Between RWP and series of Filters to control flow in normal running mode.
  • Flow of water from RWP to cartridge filters in flushing mode.
  • Flow of water between CIP tank and RWP in flushing mode.
  • Bypass High Pressure Pump (HPP) in flushing mode.
  • Flow of water from RO membrane to drain.
  • To turn RWP, HPP, pH dosing pump, chlorine dosing pump, de-chlorination pump, anti-scaling dosing pump, and hooter (alarm) ON or OFF.
  • Three additional for RWP, HPP and for redundancy.

Key Board:

Standard product has six keys: "MENU" for setting parameters, to exit from current function and to enter previous Menu; "UP" and "DOWN" keys to scroll displays up or down; "ENTER" to select and enter the desired function; "ALARM OFF" to acknowledge alarm and "ESC" to exit from current operation.

Depending on customers' requirement, twelve additional keys can be provided.


Front Panel:

The Front Panel besides having the "Key Board" for Operator Interface displays a mimic diagram with LED depicting the complete process. In case of malfunction in process, the LEDs blink and provide visual indication.

A 2 line x 16 character LCD on the Front Panel allows display of parameters such as input and output pH, input and output conductivity, ORP, temperature, flow pulse count, current running mode, values of timers, fault condition, three phase voltage and current of the motors, total run time, total permeate flow, total rejected water flow, total inlet water flow, percentage rejection, percentage recovery and overall efficiency of the plant.


Data Logging:

In case of a fault or power failure, the system logs and saves the cause of the fault, the date, time, fault related sensed parameters and the timer values. The sensed values of all parameters can be ported in a PC through serial communication.


Calibration, Alarm Conditions and Protection:

The product is initially calibrated through GUI for minimum and maximum limits of sensed parameters. The conditions of alarm are, any fault at DPS inputs, temperature, pH, ORP, Conductivity, Level Sensor, dry running of pump, corresponding current and single phasing of motors. The product has built-in protection against single phasing, and dry running of pumps.


Interfaces, Special Features and Communication:

The Front Panel provides directs interface with the operator. Besides, the Serial Port and RS 485 with MODBUS RTU protocol at bus speed of 9600 bps allows remote wired interface with PC. Supply of equipment based on other protocol is feasible. Facility for remote and wireless management of the system and retrieval of data can be offered as an optional feature. Other special features include optical isolation of inputs and outputs, automatic messaging facility for maintenance and data logging every minute.
